The general idea of using fire glass is to keep away from burning materials like wood, coal, and charcoal. This saves those resources for other important uses that actually need them. We do not recommend using Fire glass with propane other than in the Oriflamme fire table or with a propane air mixer. The Oriflamme fire pit table is manufactures with the ability to clean the propane prior to it hitting the glass, which will in turn create less soot and keep your glass looking clean. Most fire pit tables do not have systems that clean the propane therefore this would cause your glass to look black and dirty. There are many different colors and shapes of the glass available out now. Visually you will only see the top part of the pit with fire glass on it. There are so many options for designing your custom fire pit table with fire glass. It’s cost efficient, not harmful for those around you and creates that nice relaxing feel when it is in use.
